Environmental Stewardship

As a supplier to major global corporations, Superior Communications has been at the forefront to develop products and packaging that cause minimal environmental impact.

Many of our electrical products manufactured within the past two years meet Europe’s leading standards for the Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). We have begun to audit our overseas factories to bring awareness and environmental standards to our partners in Asia, and will expand this effort to more of our suppliers, domestically and abroad.

Headquartered in California, where some of the nation’s most aggressive sustainable packaging laws have been adopted, Superior Communications has completed Lifecycle Assessments on most of our packaging materials. This includes reviews not only of the utilization of plastics and paper, but the effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process as well. The result will be a newly designed packaging line, varying in both form and materials, in 2008.

In addition to our commitment to the global distribution of green products and packaging, we have implemented a comprehensive recycling program. This includes conservation light switches, a full waste recycling program, and our T.G.I.F. (Think Green, It’s the Future) employee education program that encourages lifestyle changes at work and at home.
