Superior Communications CEO, Solomon Chen, was presented with a Visionary Award from the prestigious International Leadership Foundation (ILF) for his wide range of accomplishments as a successful, self-made entrepreneur.

As one of a select few to have been honored at the ILF 2008 Annual Gala in Washington, DC on July 17, Solomon was grateful to have been recognized by those in the Asian Pacific American community and privileged to be included among such a prominent group of awardees. Those individuals and organizations who received recognition for their accomplishments included the Honorable Mike Honda, US Congressman, California; the Honorable Bobby Jindal, Governor, Louisiana; New York Yankees pitcher Chien-Ming Wang; CNN anchorwoman Sachi Koto; the Committee of 100; and others.

Attendees at this year’s ILF gala included the Honorable Elaine Chao, US Secretary of Labor; Honorary ILF Chairperson and former US Secretary of Commerce and Transportation, Norman Mineta; and other distinguished guests.

A non-profit organization, the ILF is dedicated to furthering civic leadership and enhancing business acumen among the Asian Pacific American community through seminars, workshops, conferences and scholarships. Their efforts have helped over 500 APA college students develop the skills necessary for a more rewarding and successful future.

As a Taiwanese immigrant, Solomon appreciates and holds deep respect for organizations like the ILF for the opportunities they offer. He hopes his personal success story of determination, perseverance and ambition will inspire others to pursue their own aspirations.
