ZDraw Technology
The 2010 CTIA Emerging Technology Award-winning charger from Superior Communications automatically stops wasteful consumption of electricity. Unlike standard wall chargers, users can leave it in standby mode (plugged in) and if it’s not connected to a handset, it won’t draw power.
How does it work? The technology behind Superior’s revolutionary charger lies within an internal sensor that detects when a handset is or isn’t connected. When connected, the sensor initiates charging. When disconnected, the sensor completely powers down the charger — to help save electricity, money and the environment.
With individual use, savings and positive effects from the charger are small. However, collective use is where the big difference is made. For example, if 50% of US wireless subscribers used Superior’s zero draw charger, the electricity saved would be enough to power 12,000* homes for an entire year.
AT&T, the nation’s largest carrier, has already adopted Superior’s charging technology for its own chargers, making it one of the hottest selling accessories in their lineup.

Superior’s breakthrough charging innovation allows users to contribute to a greater good without changing the way they charge. In the future, this same technology will be incorporated into other electronic devices to help conserve power and maintain a cleaner, healthier environment.
